The “Erasmus Law and Economics Review” and the “Law and Economics Students Society” are proud to announce their 2nd Annual Conference, titled “Intellectual Property and Antitrust Law in the IT Business” that will be held in Rome, care of LUISS Guido Carli University, on November 12, 2004.
During this one day event, organized in collaboration with the “Law and Economics Lab of LUISS Guido Carli University” and “SISVEL S.p.A. – Società Italiana per lo Sviluppo dell’Elettronica”, the eminent lecturers invited (Prof. Dr. Roberto Pardolesi, Prof. Dr. Antonio Nicita and the keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Rudolph J.R. Peritz) will analyse the existing contrast between Intellectual Property rights and Competition Law.
The conference will be also animated by the final debate “Intellectual Property vs Open Source platforms” that will involve also SISVEL and Microsoft Italia, two of the most significant members of the IT business community.
The Society of Students of the Erasmus Programme in Law and Economics (“L&E Students Society”) is an international student organisation of students and alumni of the multi-disciplinary and inter-university postgraduate programme which is adjudged as among the Top 10 European Masters Programme by the European Commission.
The Society of Students of the Erasmus Programme in Law and Economics also publishes the Erasmus Law and Economics Review (www.eler.org), which aims at providing a new, open and free communication interface between lawyers, academics and economists, in order to spread the law and economics approach especially among young lawyers and law students in Central Europe, Asia and South America.
